Helping Man Since "Time Immemorial"
"You all don't get a break do you?"
A passenger on Flight 164 remarked as she entered the galley? I greeted her and her question with a surprised look on my face, and replied,
"What, this job? This job IS a break!”
“A matter of perspective, I suppose" she answered...
"Exactly" I added with a smile...
Because this woman saw us greeting passengers during boarding, assisting them in arranging their carry-on, making announcements, and reminding them to buckle up; then later seeing us serve drinks, sell snacks and pick up trash, serve additional coffee and water -pick up trash, and then finally prepare the cabin for landing, she assumed the job was demanding.
It's not.
As any Flight Attendant will attest the job is physically demanding, but the majority of the time we spend at work - is down time. We sit and wait, we sit and wait - and to pass the time we do "busy" work.
A Flight Attendant’s job would be demanding, if we had to perform our required duty; which is saving lives.
Before a Flight Attendant can get FAA Certification, he
or she must go through an intensive 7-to-8 week initial training course in first responder emergency techniques (First Aid, CPR, Administering oxygen, dislodging foreign items from airways, AED usage.); fire fighting; survival on land and water; defense; bomb (I'll just leave it at that.); airplane evacuation, et cetera. They must also test and review once a year to renew their certification.
Flight Attendants prepare for successful outcomes to catastrophic and other unexpected events. The aforementioned is why federal law requires one FAA certified flight attendant on board per X amount of passengers for each flight.
If a 'higher authority' requires a certain person for an activity, we would do ourselves well to respect the position and hope that person has adequately prepared to take on the responsibilities requirements and duties of that job. Outsiders may try to define the role according to their purpose, it is, however, up to the one in the position to execute the duties in accordance to how the creator defined it.

If in the event of emergency you find yourself lost and can't remember your way or connection to THE ALL, MOST HIGH G-D, find yourself a woman. SHE IS your priest, your spiritual guide to help (you) meet your Divinity...
Many may believe a woman's work is never done and her job is demanding. I, as a woman, can tell you we keep ourselves busy with nothing more than 'busy' work.
For, oft-tampered, mistranslated, transliterated scriptures aside, we women know we only have one duty and that is spiritual guidance.
THE ALL has empowered women to be the spiritual connection between man and G-d.
If man is created in the image of G-d, then Woman is created in the image of G-d's heart and is the embodiment of G-d's Wisdom.
She always has and always will be.
Unfortunately, we women have been out of order for so long, we’ve allowed others to define our role; keeping us from performing our spiritual duty here on earth.
"she is designed for the specific purpose of maintaining obedience between her man and God. She is his intercessor. She is to guard his relationship with the Creator, support him when he embraces God’s direction and oppose him when he does not. She is the helper-opposite in the only arena where he needs additional attention. Not work, not world-changing assignments, not dominion, not stewarding – but spiritual awareness and obedience. Without her, the man is at great risk and particularly vulnerable. "~Skip Moen
